The ThinkLab @ Simpson Library is a collaborative Makerspace for students and faculty to learn and use a variety of emergent technologies, such as 3D printers, e-textiles, and embedded circuits and systems.
This exhibit highlights this exploratory project and the way Makerspaces are allowing students in all disciplines to answer complex questions and experiment with generating physical models of objects and ideas. The exhibit was researched and designed by UMW senior, Kelli Weir, as part of her fall semester internship in Special Collections.
