Artifacts in the Archives: From A (academic) to Z (zany)

petulant1961Our newest exhibit is an informative and fun look at some of the artifacts that are housed in the University Archives. The exhibit highlights objects, ranging from arrowheads found at Brompton to a gym suit from 1928. Come see the Beanies freshmen had to wear when beginning their first semester and discover the Westmoreland dorm tradition residents carried out for good luck. Learn about the Spade and Trowel Club and what organization had the longest running club.
(A hint: They did all the catering for the college.)

The exhibit was researched and designed by UMW senior, Kelli Weir, as part of her exhibit internship in Special Collections.
