Getting EagleOne ID Cards
An EagleOne ID card is required to check out books and other library materials. IDs can be obtained in the Stafford Campus Library during our normal operating hours. Please stop by the Stafford Library Information Desk if you would like to get an EagleOne ID card. IDs can also be made at the EagleOne Card Center, located on the first floor of Lee Hall on the Fredericksburg Campus, Mondays through Fridays from 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.
For more information about obtaining an EagleOne ID card, please see EagleOne. For information on how to deposit money to your EagleOne account, please see EagleOne Deposits.
UMW Email Account
All library notices are sent to your UMW email account. Please check your UMW email regularly to ensure that you aren’t missing any important notices (overdue reminders, recalls, ILLs) regarding your library account.
Have another email that you prefer to use? You can forward your UMW email to your preferred email account. Please see Student E-Mail: Setting Up the Forwarding Rule for instructions.
Haven’t set up your UMW email account yet? Please see Obtaining an Email Account for instructions.
Copying and Printing
The Stafford Campus Library has a photocopier, a color printer, and a black & white printer. Color copiers cost 35 cents and black & white copies cost 10 cents.
An EagleOne card can be used to make photocopies and print from the Library’s computers. The printer and copier also accept small bills and change (not pennies). For information on how to deposit money to your EagleOne account, please see EagleOne Deposits.
Accessing Databases
University students, faculty, and staff may access databases from any computer at the Stafford Campus, the Fredericksburg campus of UMW, or from off-campus. For information on accessing the databases from home, please visit Using Databases From Off-Campus.
Returning Books
Library books can be returned to either campus library. At Stafford, you can return books at the Information Desk or you can use the book drop that is located along the wall at the end of the south hallway on the second floor of the South Building, next to Room 218 (when facing the main doors of the library, walk down the hallway to your left and the book slot will be on your right).
Stafford Campus Writing Center
The Stafford Campus Writing Center relocated to the first floor of the South building in 2007. For more information, please see the website of the Stafford Campus Writing Center. For appointments, call 540-286-8024.
Career Services
Career Services relocated to the North Building in 2010. A small collection of books on resume writing, job interviews, and career advancement is still available in the Stafford Campus Library and students may check out these materials for the standard 35 day period. For more information or to schedule an appointment with a career counselor, see Career Services.
