UMW Libraries offer many equipment options to Students, Faculty & Staff.

Simpson Library


These four computers were purchased for students involved in media production projects.  Each student will inherit a generic “Dock” of icons when logging in.  Navigate to the Applications folder to use programs.  To request the installation of new apps, fill out the App Request Web Form.

Konica Minolta SL1000 Digital Film Scanner

This easy to use scanner scans all types of film scanner

Simpson Library also has 29 PCs available for any students, faculty and staff.  We also provide 3 computers for guests.

3-D Printingmakerbots

Simpson Library hosts an innovative 3-D printing lab with equipment ranging from 3-D printers to sewing machines for e-textiles.  The ThinkLab is available to students with permission access from the time the  library is open to a half an hour before we close for service hours.  The ThinkLab is open to others at specified times.  See the ThinkLab website for additional information.
